Forsyth County CERTs Promote Preparedness

Forsyth County CERTs Promote Preparedness

Jul 26, 2011

A preparedness event kick-started by the County-wide Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will take place Saturday, September 17th 2011, from 10am until 6pm, at the central kiosk in Hanes Mall’s Food Court. To promote National Preparedness Month, the County-wide CERT, along with other Forsyth County CERT representatives, will distribute preparedness and CERT information to mall shoppers.

This educational display is just one way in which Forsyth County CERTs support community preparedness. CERTs are dedicated volunteers that help plan for emergencies and disasters, as well as respond to them. Come out to Hanes Mall on the 17th and meet the CERT members and view their visual displays, such as an emergency supply kit. CERT members will be available to answer questions and talk to you about what you need to do to prepare and how you may form or join a CERT.
