Kernersville Fire/Rescue Will Host SKYWARN (Weather Spotter) Classes In March

Join other weather enthusiasts from all over the Triad as they learn to identify severe weather patterns and report their findings to the National Weather Service. A SKYWARN class, also referred to as a Weather Spotter class, is a valuable educational opportunity that trains citizens to become Weather Spotters. The National Weather Service often uses Weather Spotter observations to issue weather watches and warnings. Many businesses, governmental agencies, school systems, etc. utilize Weather Spotters on their Safety Teams. The ability to recognize and identify severe weather patterns saves lives!

Two separate classes, a Basic Weather Spotter class (March 24th) and an Advanced Weather Spotter class (March 29th), will be offered at Kernersville Fire/Rescue from 7:00 until 9:00 pm.  Click on the flyers below for details.
