NC National Guard Exercise Held in Forsyth County

TOBACCOVILLE – A North Carolina National Guard (NCNG), Forsyth County and Guilford County multi-agency, public safety terrorism drill was conducted on Tuesday, June 1 and Thursday, June 3, 2010 in the area near the intersection of Doral Road and Tobaccoville Road in Tobaccoville.

The exercise focused on helping the National Guard assets and local responders better understand response capabilities and how agencies can work together in a Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) event.

Participating agencies included:

  • North Carolina National Guard
  • Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Emergency Management
  • Winston-Salem Police Department
  • Winston-Salem Fire Department
  • Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office
  • Forsyth County EMS/Emergency Services
  • Forsyth County Fire Department/Emergency Services
  • Northwest NC Chapter of the American Red Cross
  • King Fire Department
  • Rural Hall Fire Department
  • Old Richmond Fire Department
  • WFUBMC AirCare
  • Guilford County Emergency Management
  • Greensboro Fire Department
  • Greensboro Police Department
  • North Carolina Division of Emergency Management
  • North Carolina Radiation Protection
