PEART Orientation Training 2016

Animals can find themselves in potentially fatal situations unless trained rescue personnel help them during emergencies and disasters. If you are interested in learning how to SAFELY apply rescue techniques and assist emergency personnel when an animal is in need, then you may enjoy volunteer opportunities with PEART (Piedmont Emergency Animal Response Team). Course:   PEART (Piedmont Emergency Animal Response Team) Orientation

 

Description:   This training is an orientation to PEART operations. Topics covered include: pet/animal preparedness; PEART notification & activation processes; PEART mission & goals; training opportunities & requirements; and animal rescue equipment show & tell. NC ART will conduct a session on their involvement and how attendees can assist will animal rescue operations.

Location:   BELEWS CREEK FIRE DEPARTMENT, 7675 Belews Creek Rd, Belews Creek, NC 27009

 

Target Audience:   Fire & rescue personnel; animal response teams; animal control personnel; emergency managers; veterinarians/vet techs; emergency & disaster volunteers

4 CE’s have been approved via NCVMB for vets and vet techs upon full completion of this course

This training is FREE.
