Public Meeting for the Northern Piedmont Hazard Mitigation Plan

PUBLIC MEETING_2015May19

There will be an open public meeting held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, 3:00 – 4:00pm, at Tobaccoville Village Hall (4260 Tobaccoville Rd, Tobaccoville, NC 27050). This meeting will provide an opportunity for you to learn more about the mitigation planning process and what is included in the regional plan. YOU ARE INVITED!

Seven counties, which includes 37 jurisdictions, have been working together to produce a regional Hazard Mitigation Plan. Our hazard mitigation planning process reduces risks and helps prepare our communites for all types of hazards. This detailed planning makes the counties more sustainable and more resilient to various emergencies and disasters, such as winter storms, severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, flooding, droughts, wildfires, tropical storms, etc.

This plan must be adopted by all 37 jurisdictions by the end of 2015. Once adopted, the final plan will be available on-line at ReadyFORSYTH.org.
